Greetings to the AMAZING KCF church family!

 

This month I want to use this space to do a “pulse check” of where we are on our three “avenues of advance” that will take us to the “KCF of Tomorrow.”

 

Leadership Development - Last Summer the Elders began the process of developing and implementing a Leadership Development Plan (LDP) for our church family.  Jeremiah 3:15 and Matthew 28:19-20 are the guiding verses for this plan...

 

Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."  Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)

This church family is filled with leaders and disciplers and I have been thrilled with the participation in the LDP and the growth resulting from this participation.  To date 18 of you have completed the Leadership 101 Seminar, 15 of you have completed 201 and 26 have completed both seminars!  In total, 59 of you have begun to participate in the LDP.  As we all grow as leaders and disciplers, we will see the Lord use us to be “the light of the world.”

 

Strengthen & Multiply Small Groups - I want to thank the Small Group Leaders, Apprentices, and Hosts for their servant leadership in this ministry.  You are the “frontline” ministry of this church family, and it is because of you that no one is standing alone.  Approximately 70% of our church family is in a small group.  If you are not in a small group, I want to encourage you to seriously consider joining a small group.  We need your gifts and your caring hearts, and we want to make sure that you do not stand alone!

 

Going Deeper into the Harvest - Let’s continue to pray for the folks on our harvest field prayer list!  Also, pray for the Lord to give you “Divine appointments” and a boldness to share His Love and Good News.  Also, pray for two major initiatives our church family is embarking on in our harvest field - the Neighborhood Bible Clubs to be held this summer and the launching of a campus ministry at Mentor High this fall!
