Vision for the Next
Chapter
Vision – a
clear mental portrait of who God made us to be and our best understanding of
God’s future for KCF.
KCF
will be a church with a Vertical
Focus. We desire to seek after the
Lord with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. We will be a body of believers that has a
passion to know, love, and serve God.
KCF will be a Holy Spirit-filled church where the power of the living God
is evident, our relationship with Jesus Christ is at the center of our lives,
we strive to keep in step with the Holy Spirit, we are willing to go where the
Father sends us and all that we do is bathed in prayer.
KCF will be a Great Commandment church where our love, reverence and
worship of God are passionate and our love for others abounds. Love for God and others will be the most
important focus of our lives.
KCF will be a Great Commission church.
Our study of the Bible will be life-changing and our compassion for the
world will fuel our relentless pursuit of the people God loves. The attitude of our hearts will match God’s
compassion for the lost, and we will focus our efforts outward. We will equip servant leaders who are
dependent on God, understand their SHAPE, have a passion for ministry, are
willing to do what it takes to grow as leaders, and are using their gifts and
abilities to serve the Lord. The end
result will be Christ-like lives.
KCF will be a Community church. As
a church family we will celebrate our victories together, care for one another
in times of trouble, comfort one another in times of sorrow, and forgive one
another when we make mistakes. Each
person will be part of a HOME (Homes Open for Ministry and Evangelism) group
where we will experience community. We
will help families as they equip their children to follow Jesus Christ.
KCF will be a Servanthood church.
Our love for one another and our acts of kindness and service for one
another will be taken into our neighborhoods and communities. We will be “Jesus with skin on.” We will participate in community events in
order to share the love of Jesus in tangible ways.
In this next chapter in the life of
KCF we will:
Ø Expand our worship services so they
are inspiring, creative, and welcoming.
Our services will be Spirit-led, seeker-sensitive, life-changing and a
celebration of who God is and His faithfulness in our lives.
Ø Relentlessly reach out to those that
are searching for the hope that only Jesus can supply. We will encourage, challenge, and support one
another as we bring the Love and Good News of Jesus to the World.
Ø Establish a HOME group ministry
where each person at KCF will give and receive ministry, invited friends and
family will experience Christian love and support, and each group will grow and
multiply in order to share God’s love with more people.
Ø Expand our ministry to children,
youth, and young adults so that our ministry to them is revolutionary and
significantly impacts the next generation and the world.
Ø Establish a ministry that will
assist young families in becoming families that are Christ-centered, filled
with love and joy, focused on living out God’s purposes, and overcoming the
temptations of the world.
