Where No One Stands Alone

Mentor, OH

Situated on one of Lake Erie's most unique wildlife areas, Mentor boasts both an inland waterway and the one-of-a-kind Mentor Marsh.

The largest city in Lake County, Mentor offers the winning combination of city living (major chain store shopping, firstclass civic amenities, top-rated schools, etc.) with the recreational bonus of being situated on one of the world's Great Lakes.

The City of Mentor maintains over 1200 acres of green space including 34 parks and public facilities. The Mentor Marsh is one of the truly unique wildlife areas on the planet and offers some of the best bird watching opportunities in the United States. More than 250 species have been recorded around Mentor Marsh.

Great numbers of waterfowl also stop at the Marsh; during seasonal migrations you're sure to see Blue-winged Teal, American Wigeon, Gadwall, American Black Duck, Northern Shoveler and Hooded Merganser. Add in the wooded areas of the State Nature Preserve, the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve and the open waters of Lake Erie and you have an unequaled, year-round birding experience.

Additionally the Mentor/Concord area has a huge variety of housing possibilities, with everything from in-city condo living to rural country charm. Many members of Kirtland Christian Fellowship call the Mentor area their home and take full advantage of its proximity to the church as well as the broad range of business and recreational opportunities.
