NEW EXPERIENCES, OLD MIRACLES
One of my most memorable miracles happened approximately in 1978. I was having very bad backaches. I was even wearing a back brace everyday and was thinking about going to the doctor. Then one evening, Pastor Gowman and some deacons came over to my home and prayed with me. They were Hugh and Grace Gowman, Ray Stopp, Nancy Jackshaw, and Pat Lawrinson. First Hugh wanted to measure my legs. This was done by me sitting in a chair and holding both legs straight in front of me. We all noticed that one of my legs had grown longer than the other. Then Hugh and the deacons laid hands an me and began to pray. As I sat there, I could see my leg moving, it was the shorter one. It moved to the same length as the other longer one. I was sure shocked and surprised to see my leg grow. I had never experienced that before, and to have it happen to me, all I could say was thank you God! It is May 1990 at this writing and I haven't had a backache since. Praise the Lord!
Also, when I was in the Navy stationed in Hawaii, 1945, a lot of us young men were working loading cargo on the ship. We had a 19 year old operating the big crane. As he took the big load up, another crane went out of control. For a flash of my eye I looked back and saw this out of control crane come right at me. I just had time to bow down real quickly as the crane came over my head. I know that it was the Spirit of God that told me took back, and I thank Him to this day, because I know I would have been killed. Praise the Lord.
Another time I knew God worked a miracle in my life was when I was seventeen years old, also 1945. I was living in Montgomery, Alabama. Four other young men and I were working seventeen miles from home, and we would drive together. One day as were coming home, the driver of the car had been drinking. The car went out of control and flipped over a high hill. The car turned over four times as it descended down the hill.We were all very scared. We were not wearing seat belts as they were not invented yet. The only seat belt we had was Our God, because none of us got hurt. God really saved our lives. That was over 40 years ago.
