I WILL LISTEN TO GOD'S VOICE

Several years ago as I was washing dishes when a strange voice said to me softly, "Cheryl go and see about the baby." I thought, okay. The baby was about seven months old and I knew he was asleep because I had just tip toed out of the room to go and finish my dishes.

Anyway, I kept on washing dishes. I really didn't have that many, just a few bottles and some cups. It was just the idea of stopping. I couldn't sleep that night so I decided to just wash something.

Meanwhile, this voice said to me a little bit harsher, "Cheryl go get the baby NOW!" I said to myself stubborn as I am, "Oh all right." So I threw the dish towel in the sink the suds popped on my face and on my lower torso. So I said, "Hey, no news is good news, the baby's sleeping, and I would like to finish my work." I just kept mumbling on and on to myself.

As I turned to enter the hallway, I saw my child hanging feet first over the rails towards the basement!! (Picture a cliff.) My heart was going 1,000 beats faster. His hands were clutching the rails so I 'calmly walked over and pulled him back up to the first floor so he wouldn't be scared and let go before I got to him!

Somehow, to this day, I'll never know, how he got out of bed with both guard rails still up.

After I got my composure together, I went down in my bedroom and gave thanks to Almighty God and to ask for forgiveness for being stubborn. I thanked Him for being patient with me.
